Today I caught up with Jessie from St Kilda Mums. This very impressive lady saw a need in the market back in 2009 and did something about it. She now helps hundreds of families each week through St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums and Eureka Mums.
Re-homing baby clothing, prams, cots, toys and more with love. Their slogan is from one mother to another, and this simply means one loving family is giving to another with love. What they pass on is freshly laundered, safe and packaged nicely. How simple, yet how nice!
Jessie and her team of volunteers are in the final stages of helping Mums receive something beautiful for Mothers Day and are already focusing on their next appeal Cots for Tots. This year they are aiming to re-home 750 cots (250 more than last year). It's a big step up, but one they feel they can achieve with community support and awareness. If you have a child that's getting ready to transfer from cot to bed and want to find out about donating your cot and mattress take a listen to our interview, or visit the links below to find out how you can check for cot safety and donate.
Thanks to Jessie for taking the time out to chat to us! A truly dedicated lady, with a truly amazing community support network helping out Mums and families!
